We are having a few days at St Martins making
preparations for the crossing which is looming ever closer. Visited US
supermarket for 80 bottles non alcoholic beer, 20 cokes plus huge quantities of
orange juice etc. Unfortunately, despite all Carols precautions, we got
cockroaches again, we have now hopefully got rid of them but it has taken an
age! A problem in hot climates I suppose. Tomorrow we go into the Lagoon for a
day or two to get the new mainsail fitted and have the engine and generator
serviced big time. I do the filter and oil changes but we are having a
proffessional full on service and check over done. Also, a small fresh water
leak has proved to be the domestic pressure relief valve on the hot water tank,
it happened before and we replaced it in Madiera, well, its gone again so
hopefully we can buy a new one here. Then its off to a few more islands on our
final trip back to Antigua, may call in at Barbuda, St Kitts, all depends on
time and which way the wind is blowing. Weather still good but it sure is
getting hot, 35c today, makes working on the boat hard.
