What kind of a name is that? Well, we are here and
certainly did not plan to be. We left Brindisi yesterday morning in glorious
weather, around 0630, we motored, as usual, for some hours before the promised
South Easterly kicked in around lunchtime and we actually sailed for an hour or
so, however, it didn't last and we ended up carrying on past our planned
destination and arrived here at 2000, a lovely little marina, loads of space and
a couple of drinks with John and Eva aboard their boat, then sausage supper with
them and early bed. We ended the trip fighting a Northerly force 6, not on any
forecast and only lasted an hour or two, just arrived to give us hassle! We are
having a day here before pushing on tomorrow to Vieste, from there it is only a
60 mile hop across the Adriatic to the island of Lastovo which is a port of
entry and where we shall enter Croatia.Awoke this morning to glorious weather,
bright sunshine and a gentle breeze, should crack on really but we seem to be
cruising in company again, John and Eva are lovely people and we have grown fond
of them but it is not part of our plan to cruise in company as it restricts and
effects ones plans, we enjoy their company but must try and gently cut the ties
and get on on our own again.
