A night of pure hell!! we stayed in the harbour at
anchor and went to bed to a gentle swaying motion, by midnight the wind had died
completely and we were rolling like a pig in the substantial swells creeping
into the harbour, basically it went on all night and neither of us got more than
the odd hour of sleep, we moved this morning and re anchored closer into the
harbour where things have been far more pleasant, went ashore for a stroll and a
spot of shopping, now preparing for a fairly early start tomorrow as the
forecast is for a few days of Southerly winds which we hope will push us the
last 100 miles or so we need to get up to our cross over point where we can do a
70 mile sail to Hvar, the Croatian island that is our chosen
destination.
