Well, we had a pleasant enough voyage from
Gibraltar to Almerimar and covered the 127 miles in 19 hours, so quite good
going. We had a following wind and just sailed with the main, wind died as usual
during the night so burnt some of our cheap diesel purchased in Gib at 65p a
litre. We were surrounded by numerous dolphoins during the afternoon and they
could be heard squeaking from our cabin, the hull of the boat acting as an
amplifier. I slept from 2130 until 2400, and then sent Carol off to bed, had to
awake her around 0600 to give me a hand with ropes as we entered the Marina. Its
now 1400 on Easter Sunday and we have had a few more hours sleep and a large
brunch, the weather is blissful, wall to wall blue and around 21c, still snow on
the Sierra Nevada.
