Another Day In Paradise

Hi Al,
We haven't moved an inch since yesterday - the
beach we are anchored off must be one of the most beautiful in the world, so why
leave?
This morning the kids spent a heap of time playing
with the gang of four off UTOPIA II, swimming, swinging off a halyard into the
water and having competitions to see who could knoock each other off a surf ski.
I borrowed some diving gear from Paddy on WILDFLOWER II and gave the hull a
clean, and made water. Cate just pretty much put her feet up for the day. It has
been a while since we last had a true nothing day and it has been really
enjoyable.
Tonight we should see the Silver Fox gang for some
beers - they are preparing for Steve and Megan their guests to depart to
tomorrow, and through happenstance we haven't actually been able to get together
for a drink since they arrived (other than the night we raced around
the cans in Vila).
Tomrrow morning we will head up the Saturday market
at a village about a hour's steaming time away from here, then hopefully we will
be able to make out to the northern chain of islands which ring the Ouvea
Lagoon. This place has definitely been worth the detour already and we are
looking forward to exploring some more of it.
We have also enjoyed our week of school holidays
immensely, but back to the grindstone on Monday!
