Hi All,
Arrived in Port Vila this morning after a rolly old night at the Hideaway Is anchorage. On the way into the harbour this morning we banged a bommie while doing about five knots and took a bit of damage on the leading edge of the keel - not very bright, if we had been looking out the front instead of wondering if the boat at anchor off Irirki Is (in the middle of Vila harbour) was someone we knew, then we would have been paying more attention to the navigation.
After we berthed stern-to on the marina breakwall I dived on the hull and had a good look - all is intact and the keel remains firmly connected to the boat.
Today has been a big admin and school day; we have made our booking for the Tanna Is volcano trip and are off down there on Thursday. Otherwise all is well here, not much change we'll be leaving Vila for a couple of weeks now, it seems that getting a berth is pretty tight.
