Hi All,

Had a quiet evening last night, early to bed. It was wet and windy and a bit unpleasant, but we were snug enough.

This morning dawned bright, clear, calm and warm, the influence of a change in weather systems from strong northerlies to strong southerlies apparent. We moved across to the other side of the sound to Ketu Bay to ensure that we had the best internet connection possible. Vodafone have a really accurate coverage chart which has been very helpful in working out which anchorages have the best signal. As I write the breeze is beginning to pick up significantly from the SSE, we are expecting another evening of 30 knots - I guess power won't be a problem with Diedre (the wind generator) doing her thang.

Today the kids put in a big effort at school - we are now into week 4 and they are up to date in some subjects and by the end of the week we should be pretty much there in everything. I have attached photos of them hard at work below. Sarah had her first teleconference German lesson this morning and though it was wunderbar!

Tomorrow we will move deeper into the sound - looking for the best combination of sheltered anchorage from the 3 days of southerlies forecast and 3G signal strength. Joshua Slocum never had these problems!

Until tomorrow, TTFN
