Hi All,
Aside from our trip over to Russell last week we
haven't moved from our berth. Outside the wind is now blowing at 50 knots and
the weather is nothing short of foul; far better to be in here than out there
amongst it. Fortunately a really good weather window seems to be opening up
later in the week and so we should have a good ride up to the islands from about
Thursday.
Allan and Angus have taken the opportunity to head
south to Rotorua and the Waitomo Caves, which has worked out well for us
inasmuch as we have been able to get some of the minor longer term tasks
achieved which would have left AandA a bit bored. Wet weather s also good for
school as well....(thanks to Dave Swannell for keeping an eye on us via the
blog!).
Last night we had a cruisers trivia night at the
yacht club - very amusing and the kids and parents group came third out of
10!
Anyway, will let you know how we are travelling
with the weather and provide an update as to when we are leaving for
Tonga.
Tootle-pip!
