in fine conditions
Hi all, we depated Vila at 0530 this morning and
have been sailing at over 8 knots for most of the day and have made just on 80
nm for the day so far. If the wind holds we will be into the Ouvea Lagoon
shortly after first light, however the forecast is for the breeze to ease
overnight.
We have been having an introspective sort of day,
as our minds turn towards arriving home in Australia and our immediate futures.
The girls have bee accepted into Lourde's Hill College for next year and I have
just found out that I have scored a gig with the Australian Antarctic Division
running station resupply voyages on the Aurora Australis. My first voyage as a
"Voyage Mangement Trainee" will be to Mawson Station in
February/March.
Anyway, will let you know how things progress as we
get closer to home. For the next few weeks we will be cruising the Loyalty
Group, then the Isle of Pines thence to Noumea late October to await a weather
window for the run across to Bundy.
All is well, TTFN
