Hi All,
After three great days at Swan Bay we returned to
Gulf Harbour Overnight last night to attend Scouts, do some shopping, and pick
up our new anchor. This afternoon we depated the marina at about 1400 to sail
down to Rangitoto Island, where we arrived to anchor at about 1700.
The Islington Bay anchorage is in between Rangitoto
and Motutapu Islands, and seems to be a pretty popular spot, even for this time
of yer.
The weather is getting colder and so our webasto
diesel heater is getting used morning and night; when we purchased the boat we
thought the heater was a waste of time, now we know different!
Our plan is to remain hereabouts while the north
east weather continues until next week. Tomorrow's weather is forecast to be
pretty good, so we might might make the big assault on the summit of Rangitoto
Island.
