Hi All,
Today we had an enjoyable day touring the island of
Lifou in a rental car with the SF's. We saw pretty much al the ilsand has to
offer. On our return we had to conduct a boat shuffle as one of the other rally
boats that had come in a day before us had elcted to remain and do a tour
themselves. Unfortunately they were taking up a berth but not paying as they had
decided to leave later this afternoon. This left a new arrival without a berth
until they left for Noumea - poor form really, and it put all of the remaiing
visiting yachts to additional effort.
Tomorrow Cate and Michelle are off to the fresh
frut and veg market early, after which we will return the hire car. Laer in the
morning we will head off down to an anchorage just inside the eastern end of the
island in preparation for the trip across to the isle of pines.
