Hi All, we are on our way again after two lovely
days in Albert Cove. The Rally crowd except SF departed yesterday (Saturday)
morning early to commence a slower day-sailing passage across the top of Vanua
Levu. We have elected to sail overnight and overtake the mob so as to arrive n
the Yasawas ahead of them.
Tomorrow orning early we will head in through Malo
passage to anchor off Labasa River. We will then take the dinghies up the river
to Labasa (about an hour) to go to the markets and get some fresh fruit and veg
before heading across to isolated Kia Island in the northern reef off Vanua
Levu.
Once we have made it around the corner the sea
state should ease significantly as we will be behind Vanua Levu and its fringing
reef - should be a pleasant overnight sail.
Until tomorrow, TTFN
