We are at 06:40.28N 55:26.83W sailing slowly along the 30 metre contour.
Overnight we had lots of fishing boats (one every mile) always lit but some
had all red some all green some flashing white and a red....they only appear
on our radar at about 4 miles distant. They seem to be anchored or waiting
on their nets. Now the wind is dying further...may be a long sail even
though its only about 250 miles from St Laurent to Bartica (whihc is an ex
mining town up the Essaquibo now re-inventing itself as a yacht
place....we'll see).
