Welcome to the Beaujolais Web Site and Diary

Beaujolais is looking good in her berth. All the woodwork has been taken down to the wood and re-varnished with 6 coats. The Hull has been cleaned and polished and the bottom anti-fouled (painted to reduce marine growth).

This next week we will be very busy completing the last few, but necessary jobs and victualling (food, water, fuel etc. supplies) for the next 6 months.

We will set sail on the 4th December. Why the 4th?, because there is a Space Shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral on the 6th and we want to be close offshore to see it. Last weekend, we saw the big Delta rocket take off at night. Wow, what a sight that was!

We are planning to sail down to Fort Lauderdale or Miami, maybe a stop in the Florida Keys and the on to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, the San Blas Islands eventually reaching Panama and the canal in April 2008.

Keep a watch on this site for the latest news. We will try to update it at least once a week with pictures and reports of the places we visit, the people we meet and the adventures we experience.
