Another sunny day started with a phonecall to Holland to try and get the generator fixed followed by an encouraging call with Charles Whitehead in Palma, described by Rob Bell of Seraphina as "one of the best Mastervolt experts in the Western world."  He said that they would send someone over to Port Colom to make the repair tomorrow.

Feeling more cheerful Emma and I then took a taxi over to Palma for the rest of the day.  It is an very attractive place, particularly the old town with its impressive cathedral, alongside the Muslim castle of Palau de l'Almudaina.  The cathedral is very interesting having been modernised by Gaudi at the beginning of the last century.  We had lunch close to the marina and after seeing these two sights we just wandered round the streets.  The plan is to come back with the next crew on the famous train from Sollèr and spend the day and evening in Palma and having been there this time I am quite looking forward to it.

We arrived back early evening and after a short rest had the most enormous dish of suckling pig at a restaurant close to the boat before retiring.
