Another uneventful night passed by but unfortunately our twinkling star lit sky from the night before was marred by cloud. Indeed we have woken to grey skies and grey sea. This was not what was advertised and we have lodged a complaint. It is still warm and quite humid so still shorts and t shirt weather under our lifejackets

A slightly better 24 hours yesterday - 168 miles versus 166 the 24 hours before and that means only some 214 to go. The loss of our downwind sail means that our eta is now much later on Saturday evening so we are hoping for fair winds from now on to get us there quickly

All good on board and well settled into our watch routine of 2 hours on and 4 off except when we want to make major sail changes of course when all 3 of us get involved

No sea life to report - birds, whales or dolphins - and we have just been passed by our first big ship since the shipping lanes going towards/outbound the Med. No fishing boats but we have heard them chattering on the vhf radio.  We haven't caught any fish either - but you need to put the line out to do that!
