Trade winds at last?

We thoroughly enjoyed a celebratory glass of bubbles for
Pauls' birthday
Overnight the winds began to fill in from the NE and we
stopped theengine at about 23.00 and carried full mainsail and genoa throughout
the night (full sail). In the morning we went into trades mode dropping the
mainsail and putting up the special blue water downwind sail. We enjoyed a quiet
afternoon but as the wind started to increase we attempted to reef the
foresail only to blow the furler car up! So down with that sail and back to plan
Av23C of genoa and a small trysail (a loose footed main sail)
We think that we are now into the trade winds but need
to keep going south so that we don't hit a calm patch to the west of
us
