Armenistis

After fixing our auto pilot and AIS we decided to go do some shopping for the boat in Palma de Mallorca. How could we guess that the Basques would strike again ? Anyway we did not even heard the bombs
although we were on a tourist sightseeing bus around the area where it happened.
Palma is a nice town in certain areas and some old buildings.
Tuesday we left the Marina  S Arenal and anchored outside in a sheltered bay so Christiana and the kids visited an aqua parc, while D stayed in the boat. In the marina there was Guardia Civil and in the bay we were anchored there was a rib with secret police.
We sailed at 18:15 for Ibiza with full main and tried for the first time our cutter jib. They worked fine the wind was around 7-10 knots with a lot of waves from two directions on a big swell. Mid way we took a reef since the wind had picked up. Aproaching Isla Tagomago at 03:00 12 July,  the wind had reached 17kts  and we decided to enter Cala Boix sheltered but lots of swell. As soon as we were anchored the party started (dont forget we are in Ibiza) thunders all over and rain. The place was lighted and we started dancing with heavy swell and less wind. We were feeling tired and decided to go to sleep, it was 04:30.
Our day started at 10:30 checking the place and our anchor.
Armenistis was looking perfectly clean from the rain and the atmosohere was smelling from the pines on the land.
After some telephone calls, looking at the weather and a short meeting we decided to stay in Cala Boix. The weather was getting worse and two other sailing boats were enetring the bay.
We will update our diary as soon as we move to another spot.
