27th November -Sixth day at sea. Our Magician Ktypodaf s trikes! δίνει ρέστα!!

(For those who don't know George's nick name for at least 20 years =
Ktypodaf) About 11:00 this morning Ktypodaf started gluing with loctite the spinnaker pole ball bearings together, we had found on deck (we had saved as many ball bearings as we could find on deck) and then making a cylindrical shape he placed them into the wagon filled the wagon spaces with epoxy fast composite and let it dry. When it dried he sanded and made it very smooth like a mirror . Then on the deck with Pantelis with all necessary tools they started the magical performance. I cannot describe the the difficulty of this operation with rolling and pitching of the boat, hope the pictures will make you imagine. Myself on the wheel till I am needed in front preparing now to engage the Hydrovane pilot. Pantelis cut the bended rail and took the old rivets out. When ready
to rivet the straight rail part they called me to join in front of the
mast. The Hydrovane was steering nicely the boat and Pantelis (being the
lighest) was stepping on our shoulders to do his acrobatics, us holding him
firmly he rivetted the straightened rail and fitted the wagon. It fitted
perfectly. All of us took our role and hoisted the pole. Wowww!!!!! Our magician
had done it!! We were so happy. Now we sail smoothly avoiding lots of the roll
and making about 8 knots with only 10kts of wind dead aft. Happiness was all
over our faces. Late lunch after such a success a ''sfougato' with scrambled eggs, fresh green onions and jamon iberico! a couple of beers to celebrate. By the way our drinking habits till now are regular coke, diet coke, beer and some orange juice. I am usually drinking a beer before going to sleep....helps me
snoring!! Photo: The magician and Armenistis smiling with the
