We sailed petit Saint Vincent at 14:00LT and
arrived at Carriacou abeam Hillsborough at 14:45LT. The wind was blowing and the
anchorage was not the best so we decided to go to Sandy island only half mile
away, when we arrived we rejected this anchorage also and motored to Tyrell
bay that was an excellent shelter.
We arrived at Tyrell Bay at 16:00LT.
The bay was very interesting. Mangroves on the
left, some wrecks in the entrance of the inlet and many yachts in the bay, some
tugs and dredgers also. The landscape was reminding the 60's. There
were old style wooden yachts with many long haul yachtsmen
around. We anchored in the middle of the bay had
dinner on board and installed the Auto Pilot!! Yeh!!!
Christiana and the kids decided to visit the
mangroves with the dinghy and shoot some pictures.
