We arrived 30 July 2009 and stayed 2 full days. A
nice town with one of the most famous sheltered ports ...in the world.
Coming in this natural port is a joy watching the
two sides of the ''fjord''. Easy to motor in, we went all the way to the
end of the bay where we had aranged to dock. Good marina expensive and noisy at
night. We tried a tapas bar the first evening and found also wifi so we could
send some mails.
Next day we walked along a magnificent
esplanade and the historical center with nice architucture. We spent a lot
of time walikg to see the town and visted many interesting
places.
We are travelling a month now and
thought that it was time to buy a small laundry machine, so
we went shopping for provisions and purchased a small Calor
and some kitchenware.
Christiana had a day with plenty of
work washing and washing. In the evening the boat was all around the
stanchions with drying cloths making Christiana feel a bit embarassed till she
noticed that most of the boats were drying their cloths.
It was time to get a nice dinner so we decided to
go to ''Gregal'', an old fashion
restaurant with excellent food.
Today 31st July we will move to
a floating pontoon which is used as a marina, is cheaper and easy to
commute to the land with the dinghy.
Our plans are to get fuel the day after and sail south
sand westerly to see the island. |
