Petit St Vincent

We sailed with the foresail up from Union
Island, Clifton at 15:00 and arrived in Petit St Vincent at 16:00LT 28
December 2009.
A nice swim, wonderful beaches and water. The
night was very interesting at anchor. A squall hit us, heavy rain for half
hour and the wind increased to about 30knots. we We had to check our anchor
every 10 minutes, everything was fine. Then the skipper decided to sleep outside
in case needed to work on the anchor, the rain passed and the wind remained but
the holding solid.
The view was beautiful from the cockpit looking the
lights of the nearby islands, Petite Martinique and Union island far behind the
other boats around us. Sky with all kinds of clouds and patches of stars and the
moon....the right time to think...who are we and where and
what???
Petit St Vincent is a leased beautiful very small
island with a nice resort and no buildings except stoned bungalows a restaurant
and a boutique.
We decided to stay one more day and sail tomorrow
for Carriacou (Grenada territory).
We will update with pictures as soon as we find a
wifi connection
