We sailed from Soussaki yard at 15:00 and arrived alongside the Canal entrance 15minutes later.

I visit the Coast Guard (Limenarchio) to stamp the papers and  then visited the Canal authorities to pay for the transitting. The officer told me if you want to make this transit you have to be very fast, I write the application in seconds and paid him the necessary amount trying to make it.

Oh! So pleased to be in the last of the convoy!

Christiana before leaving Soussaki was so worried that we wouldn’t have a cake for Katerina’s birthday so our good friend Babis drove to a shop and brought us by the canal dock a box of ice cream. So the party had started, candles, me on the wheel steering the boat in the canal Katerina blowing the candles, Babis up on the bridge shooting pictures….everyobody happy!

After transiting the Canal the weather was fair with Westerly winds 4-8kts and we decided to sail close hauled for a while with our new tri-radial genoa. Good sail but an hour later we decided to furl her and motor towards Galaxidi, the sail was luffing too much and the wind was dieing.

Problem-wise the auto pilot didn’t work, better it happened now than later so I thought Galaxidi was a good stop to try repair it while the family would visit the grandparents there.

Around 21:30 the wind picked up  to Northwesterly 14-18 knots with medium waves so we set course for Ormos Anemokambi  approximately 3nm south of Galaxidi. Arrived around 00:15 (see our tacking on the spot finder) and anchored in 10metes depth.

Are we ship shape? ...need to organize some stowage, we still are looking to find things that we either haven’t unpacked or we have hidden. So tomorrow there is plenty of work for all of us.

Have a nice day
