Glaciers, gales, whirlpools and whales for a day out in Patagonia. Jan 12

Mornings in the dingy to untie the four way ropes and back into Magellan. Cargo ship Parnassos, 600 feet, green to green. Tortuoso Passage for lunch time around Tilly bay and  wind to push us for Ingels Passage.

Right turn, deep south. Out of Magellan into the narrows for Canal Barbara. A pair of Minke Wales as we entered Shag Passage there was not more than two hundred meters gap. Large sea lions on the rocks watched the fun.  Cliff sides as steep as you like for floor by floor residency of shag cormorants. A million pairs delayed their fish dinner to see us safely through.

Glacier ahead to end the day and then a turn into Nutland bay. Tree lined and very shallow, kelp all about. A  bow stern two point rope tie.
