Porto Eden town quay
Porto Eden town quay.
49.07.60 S 74.24.80 W The town quay had been built brand new only three months ago. Sail yacht Hollinsclough alongside smart red ladders and tyre fenders with shiny new chains. Floodlights running on solar panels and wind generators just like us.
Not a road in the town. Maybe a hundred buildings, mostly of tin with colourfull paint and the paths all board walks. Everything arrives by boat, a town without roads, that’s no cars, no motorbikes no bicycles. The school was very new too, they made the broadband connection available to us and the girls attended the afternoon art class for.
Some small shops for
potatoes, fresh eggs and bread, even a post office and diesel to arrive in the
morning. The most friendly and extraordinary town you ever came
by. |
