Hollinsclough - Is the World Round?
Tue 13 May 2008 12:12
Our 34 degree sea temperature had been static for some time, tonight south of the equator it reached a heady 36, we both slept on the cockpit cushions in the moonlight. It was definitely a part time affair as the moon rose earlier, about half and was gone by midnight on its equator cycle so short it must have been charging by the hour. With no wind a more direct course set for the Island of Fernando de Noronha at 240 degrees true. Bringing us a little closer to ships, the computer found the Marabu Petronah heading Italy, the Bergen Arrow heading for Flushing and the Alma going south to Aratu. Our 12 UTC position was 02.08.00 S 31.03.75 W |
