OOJAH's AWESOME ODYSSEY

We have had some good sailing since the last blog, albeit in undemanding conditions, but it remains unsociably cold. We spend the evenings down below & huddle behind the windscreen when on the move - quite geriatric but just perfect for us.
We are now in the South Fyn Archipelago, a myriad of small & very flat islands described as the jewel of the Danish cruising grounds - flat water sailing & lots of small harbours & anchorages; a little global warming & it would all disappear! We anchored off Lyo, Faaborg & Avernako & went alongside in Aeroskobing & now Svendborg where the Raymarine technician is making his second visit to try & sort out a reluctant echo sounder.

Above tranquility on Lyo & below in Faaborg but either could have been taken anywhere around here.

The old town centres & small villages are very sweet, if very quiet at this time of year.
The week ahead looks quite unsettled so we move towards Copenhagen with our fingers crossed.

Best regards, Peter & Christene
