Half way up the Exuma chain is the Exuma's Land & Sea Park. Everything is protected & some moorings have been laid in the best snorkelling areas to protect the coral. It's a "no take zone". All you can take are photos & all you can leave are footprints. It is very pretty here & the weather has remained benign creating the classic beautiful coloured water over the white sand. We've walked on shore & snorkelled, & enjoyed a little social with adjacent yachts. We've seen all manner of tropical fish including the venomous but pretty Lionfish, huge Rays up to 5' long & Nurse Sharks, not to mention the pigs swimming in Majors Bay, Staniel Cay. There's nothing ashore but low lying scrubland so we'll have to move on soon or we'll starve but what a lovely area.
With love from Peter & Christene x
