We got away from Rabat in the end, but so late that we arrived here in the dark which to our great relief was a non event as the Yacht Club harbour master was standing waiting for us – maybe the Port control had picked up our AIS signal & passed on a message. We were inspected again but in a friendly way & spent a low key day looking around. This is a commercial place only a few miles from Casablanca & it was nice not to be molested as tourists are I the more popular places. Tomorrow we’re going to sail 200 nm further South to Essaouira which may take 2 days as there’s very little wind – as fuel will have to be jerry canned to the boat from now on we don’t want to use any more than necessary. Ironically there’s a deep low out in the Atlantic which appears to be going to pass well to the North of us but its presence puts a bit of an edge on things!
