Yesterday we tacked thro' the Chanel de Four to Camaret just to the south of Brest. We're taking a lay day today as the wind is up, but it's raining so our vision of the laundry washing itself while we have breakfast outside a pavement cafe is in taters. It's still not warm but at least we're heading South from this point so it's a watershed of sorts. Camaret is an old fishing harbour with discarded fishing boats hauled up on the beach as well as a popular staging post for yachts going north & south.
I left finishing this for later & we put on our waterproofs to brave the mile walk to town but just as we went up, the rain intensified to monsoon proportions so we've retreated below for now.
