OOJAH's AWESOME ODYSSEY

From Union Island we sailed 4 nm North to the little island of Mayreau. The anchorage at Saltwhistle Bay is one of the prettiest in the South Caribbean & has the perfect view of Tobago Cays with its beautiful turquoise water, although snorkelling has been poor due the amount of swell & consequent cloudy water. It has been quite rough between the islands but after almost 2 months we're now back in Rodney Bay, this time on our way North. We've had the water maker & a few smaller things fixed - after 8 months sprayhood & sail covers are beginning to suffer from an excess of uv, but it was very nice to pay to have Oojah polished. The anti fouling is exhausted after 10 months but we're hoping to keep her clean underwater by frequent diving. Funnily enough Christene refused to scrape the barnacles off the hull with her fingernails - especially just after her manicure!

With love from,
