Half our first day in Tobago was spent 'checking in' in the principal town Scarborough. As so often in this part of the world officials are frequently absent, they have an over bureaucratic paper based system with carbon paper everywhere & some have an attitude problem (others are charming). We met up with Carol & Gordon & to avoid further time wasting with officialdom sailed up to the NW corner of Tobago. Last night the wind died & was coming from all directions. Unfortunately we nudged an aluminium yacht with our anchor roller at 1 am resulting in a destructive sounding metal on metal noise & much abuse in French. We had to re-anchor - not a good night's sleep! We've not yet heard anymore from him this morning so hopefully all's well now he's sobered up. Charlotteville is a delightful little place with a very unspoilt 'local' character although it's raining on & off (don't worry it's warm rain).
