OOJAH's AWESOME ODYSSEY

It has taken 8 days of hard work to pack up & get Oojah lifted & placed in a one piece steel cradle for the hurricaine season. The cradle & the boat are then strapped to steel anchoring points concreted into the ground so hopefully she'll still be there when we return in the autumn. The ultra violet will also quickly degrade anything so all the lines & covers have had to be removed.
Other than sail damage Oojah has looked after us very well, but the alternator failed as we arrived in Antigua, & we had a gas leak & a totally blocked toilet for good measure. The mainsail & jib are completely shot & will have to be replaced before we can continue but otherwise we're in good shape.
This will be the last blog for a while & I hope it's been of some interest. We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

With love from Peter & Christene
