Ola!

What a relief to get that sector over with! I used to fly over the Bay of Biscay at 1350 miles an hour many years ago, compared to our 7 on the boat! We motored for the first 9 hours in very little wind, much to Peter's frustration and my relief! However it picked up so we spent ages messing about with the spinnaker to achieve about .0000025% knots of extra speed! (kept him happy and out of mischief!) Then we had favourable wind and a lovely sail for the remaining 21 hours in sunshine before an almost full moon. We split the night watch and I made the big mistake of climbing into our bed in the bow cabin at 0300. It was a bit like sleeping in a washing machine as the sea was quite "agitaire" by now! I felt quite poorly and didn't recover untill we reached Santander at 1300. It could have also been the result of the worry and emotion of the last few weeks. We are now anchored off the beach in this delightful city with the backdrop of the Pico mountains behind us. We're chilling out and will blow up the dinghy and explore land tomorrow.
