A short trip with a couple of photos. I am now seeing many more yachts about. This one came quite close.
As we were sailing in gentle winds I decided to do the engine checks which I had forgotten to do before leaving. I was dismayed to see half a pint of oil in the engine bilge. After further examination I realised it was diesel fuel.
The leak was from this bodge I made last year when I fitted a new pipe to link the injectors.
The flexible pipe had hardened and cracked. I had joined this up like this thinking I would do it properly with the right fittings later......didn't happen. Anyway I made and an improved bodge with some thicker walled tubing that I found on board.
The Marina in Mitilini is run by the Turkish company Setur who also run Kas and Yalova. I tried to do the right thing and check in properly but no one seemed interested but the kind lady in the Marina office gave me a tree.
I think it must be a herb but no idea what. I shall keep watering it and hope it is a grape vine.
The town was quite interesting with a statutory castle.
A few photos of the town.
And a fun one.....
