I mentioned the HR 42 when I left Cascais. She is
called Bagheera and I managed to stay with her for a while.
But eventually she disappeared into the
distance
Bagheera went into Sines whilst I carried on and
sailed all night until the sun came up over Cabo De Sao Vicente.
I had slowed down as I didn't want to get into
shallow waters until daylight so as to keep away from fishing buoys. There were
not that many so it would have been alright.
As I rounded the Capes Sarah Giddings a Rival 34
popped out of an anchorage about a mile ahead of me and I followed her the 20 or
so nm into Lagos where she is on the next door pontoon.
The final headland before Lagos.
I will leave here tomorrow and probably go to
Ayamonte which about 60nm from here and is the first place on the southern
Spanish coast.
