The wind did go round to the North West so we
sailed through thenight and are now 41nm from Coruna. Unfortunately the wind has
backed this morning so it has headed us on our path to Coruna. I have put the
engine on and am steaming into a headwind on course for Coruna buit the wind and
waves are reducing our speed to 3kts sog. I will run the engine for half an hour
as I want hotwater to have a shower. If tings don't look better then I may
change course and go to Vivero which is only 25nm compared to 40 to Coruna.but I
will beable to sail straight there.
The seastate was interesting yesterday afternoon.
We had a maximum wind of 30kts but it built up some high waves including a few
breakers. I tried to photograph it but it doesn't really show using still
photography.
Whichever port I go to I plan to get in this
evening as I would like a good nights sleep.
