The mechanic never turned up last night so I did
what I should have done from the start and took the engine throttle/gear lever
to bits this morning. The throttle cable was broken which is not surprising as
it was the original. I went to the Volvo dealer and they supplied me with one
off the shelf. All fixed by lunchtime and I changed the gear shift cable at the
same time. I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to change these every five years as
routine maintenance.
Off to Denia in the
morning.
