Michael kindly dropped me off at Kirkenes Airport when he returned the hire car. The airport is very modern but tiny.

The planes are all small to match so I flew to Oslo to connect to a flight to Gatwick. All worked well and I was collected by my sister and we were in the local pub by 8.00pm.

Just to conclude the Russian trip my thanks to Michael and Williwaw for a remarkable experience. In total we covered nearly 1700 nm from Helsinki to Kirkenes.
