Nisos Milos to marmaris via Panormittis on Nisos Sines
The total distance for this trip was about 200nm. We set off early from Milos in strong winds. I had a slight difficulty disentangling myself from the boat next door but that was soon sorted. Looking back at Milos. The strong winds died overnight and we motored for a further 24 hours passing lots of islands. The idea of staying awake for two nights running was not appealing so we went into a small harbour on Nisos Sines about 40nm from Marmaris. It is a charming place with a well protected anchorage. As you can see it was very still with barely a ripple. The entrance to the anchorage is only about 50 mts wide The following morning we left at first light for Marmaris and the wind was kind so we sailed all the way some of it with the cruising chute up. Marmaris Netsel Marina is huge And caters for some quite large boats and some quite pretty ones The marina is very well organised and you are met by a small rib which shows you to your berth. After berthing I went and found the office to sort out all the Turkish entry paperwork. They have very strict regulations about pumping waste into the sea and you are sold a smart card for about £7 which is used to record having your holding tank pumped out. I have never had my sh*t measured before……………….. Once you have this you can go and get all the other documents you need but it is easier to use an agent which is todays task. |
