with some great yachties, There was a lovely Blue hulled Rival 41
(Matador) and we had a good evening with the crew. I went into Shepherds (the
chandlery) and enquired about Katadyn water makers as it had been my intention
to fit one but had decided it was a bit expensive. However, Shepherds actually
had them in stock at £400 cheaper than the UK price and of course there was no
VAT so that saved another £600. You've guessed it........I talked myself into
saving £1,000! Leaving Gibraltar the day before yesterday the sea
state was a bit unpleasant so we just hopped across the Straits and stopped in
Ceuta yesterday whilst the gale in the straits blew itself out. Today we left Ceuta and took the best course we
could sail north east. Unfortunately the wind changed so we didn' t get
very far east. We are in Estepona Marina which is new to me so that's
great. Estepona is a typical Spanish holiday resort but
there is a great Jazz Bar where there was a very talented female singer
performing so it made a magic evening. Moving on East tomorrow.....we will go where the
wind takes us. |
