Norwegian houses, churches and elephants

The houses here vary quite a lot although most are
predominantly wooden with the more modern ones having concrete basements. The
following photos show the variety
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thje above houses are all in Kirkenes. We hired a
car and visited a small village/port called Bugoynes which was not burnt down
when the Germans left. The houses still looked mostly modern. First a view from

the Russian border
![]() The notice says you may not take photos using a
telephoto lense over 200mm or using a tripod. We visited this abandoned farm
which shows some older buildings.....some had turf roofs.
