After two enjoyable days at Palma we sailed to Formentera as a stopover on our way to Cartagena. This is a lovely anchorage and the number of boats is increasing as the weather improves. Palma was clean and friendly and the Cathedral and old town very interesting. We had a problem with the bowthruster on arrival but the marina sent an electrician round who identified the problem as a corroded terminal that was sparking---that was the burning smell!! There was no charge for his services! The Real Club Nautico had a swimming pool and bar overlooking the harbour where there was an enormous number of super yachts of all shapes and sizes.
