Having earned considerable brownie points for last weekend's celebrations which should stand me (Mark)in good stead for a while, we have shaken off the shackles of the Algarve and are on passage(450 miles) to Porto Santo, a small island to the North of Madeira. We are sailing in company with Oyster Moon (Paul and Rhu) in their Oyster 46.
Mainly motoring in a flat sea but some sailing although wind on the nose. The replacement towed generator worked well but regret to report that the windex has failed again----very disappointing especially for those avid blog readers who are fed up hearing about it especially when they (Vera) do not know what it is!
We are practising our radio net and hunting a loaf of bread which either missed the supermarket trolley or is mouldering in an as yet unsearched locker! I may have to bake another one tomorrow!
