Arriving Rum Cay we had no charging from the
engine, and the no charging lamp was lit. The orignal alternator was put in, and
now it charges again. We left Rum cay for Turks and Caicos, ca 180nm
motorsailing overnighter.
We had a big 960ft containership at around 1nm
behind us - the AIS makes for safer navigation in this regard.
Later we saw a big turtle sleeping, I think we woke
it, and Kristen got a 23lbs (11kg) mahi mahi west of Samana Cay while trawling.
Fun yum. The first bit served as sesame teriaky dolphin with rice and sweet
peas.
Night passage went fine, alas we woke up to lots of
birdshit on our port side. None on the sails.
Arrived in Leeward marine - need to clear in
tomorrow.
