We have sighted land! Flores is on our port bow. Swathed in cloud not looking particularly inviting. Which is a good thing, because we have decided not to go in to Flores but to go straight on to Horta.
A northerly wind has been blowing for four days now, and there is a considerable swell. According to the book, this will make the marina in Flores extremely uncomfortable if not actually untenable.
We are about another days sail from Horta, so our voyage is nearly at an end.
