Spent the last 24 hours motoring through the high pressure area. The forecast says that at 38 degrees North we should start getting a westerly wind but it’s not looking too hopeful at the moment.

Going so slowly and with a flat sea we’ve had lots of time to observe the portuguese men-of-war floating past with their strange ‘bubble’ acting as a kind of sail. Definitely not going to stop for a dip here!
