Suilven has survived yet another icy winter safely ashore at Dartmouth Yacht Club. Only routine maintenance was required this time and she was launched the day after John’s arrival as scheduled.  One exciting new addition to the boat however, is the new canvas cockpit cover.  We can now sit in the cockpit, protected from chill winds in a virtual greenhouse environment - we could so have done with this up in the Arctic! Ever so tempted to sail with it in place, but it just doesn’t seem seamanlike, so will still use our trusty ‘mini’ greenhouse for protection at sea. 

Will be making our way down the coast of Nova Scotia before setting off for Maine.
