Steve...
My brain is cooked, so need some help with  the calculation. We had a question from one of our readers,, Louis from fetcham. How many oar strokes do we take for each mile or have we taken so far,, I have thought about this, but never applied enough brain to find out the answer, But Louis and anybody else interested, here is your clue.

Each 1/10th of each mile, we take anything from 60 - 150 stokes,, there is an enormous varition simply because the wind makes it that much tougher or easier to make ground.. so if you take an average of those two figures, 105 and multiply by approx 2400 (miles rowed so far -- including wiggly bits)  this should give you apprx total no of strokes so far taken.. divide by 2 and that will give per person figure..  I would imagine quite a few..

A lot of left side rowing again today as wind is strong from the south pushing us north. we can just about make headway, but better than sitting ont the anchor going nowwhere or backwards even.. problem is body is taking a hamering all down one side..

well, since having written the above, we have had to deploy the anchor.. time to rest and repair again.. we will get there,... and i can't wait..

still we will get some good weather one day......... ?????

Rich...
The winds from the South are easing off at 7:00pm and were hoping that they will swing round to be Easterly over the course of the night and give us a helping hand across to Antigua. No promises, but if this materialises it may give our bodies time to heal before the next onslaught.
Big news of the day, despite the low mileages we are now in the 400's...494 miles to be precise...that's under 10 TRUs!...so could be 2 - 3 weeks until the first cold beer???!!?? No hopes being pinned on any date but it's nice to have a dream ;-) (yes, I do believe in Santa as well)
