Row Across The Pond
Richard Hoyland and Steve Coe
Tue 19 Jan 2010 17:38
Before we talk about our day, we are getting some great emails and some of them quite creative. A high point was a poem from yesterday..

There once was two fit men from Surrey
Who set off across the pond in a hurry
They rowed for a bit....
Then took off their kit
Because chafing was a bit of a worry.

Now, I'm far too polite to name the author of this creative piece of genius..but Steve might not be so discrete ;-)

I'm getting ready for our delayed Christmas on the boat and imagining what those presents under the deck boards are? I haven't tried shaking them yet, but the temptation is there...Lou tells me that some are very appropriate, so here's hoping one is an outboard engine!
Not much else to report today...it's a long hard slog of a day, but I think we are making greast progress down to the trades. If these winds keep up we should be down there by Sunday this week which is our Christmas! What a present that would be.

Geoffrey & Lesley, plus Cath...we've received your mails fine...stay in touch.
